My younger kids can now say they have had the privilege to try their older sister’s Famous Pepperoni Omelette. What makes it famous? Why because my dear Petunia made it! Today marks the end of the second 4-day weekend the kids have had this month due to extreme cold temperatures here in Wisconsin. For us, it means staying up late, cuddling in mommy’s bed, watching lots of movies together, reading books, and playing and playing and playing. It also means taking our time and having big brunches that my daughter, Petunia, helps me make. She is 10 and enjoys helping me cook. Lately, she has taken on more independent tasks in the kitchen. Making open-faced omelettes with pepperoni is her favorite. The method, seasonings, and the way she arranges the pepperoni is all up to her.
