Dallas, TX- Stratos Greek Taverna touts itself as providing “Global Greek Cuisine”. The Gyro was ordinary in flavor, had too many giant discs of fresh onion, and the only highlight was the tzatziki sauce. The offerings are a little pricey compared to other Greek restaurants across the country. The Greek Sampler comes with 2 stuffed Dolmathes (ground beef and rice stuffed grape leaves), 2 Tiropita (cheese and milk stuffed phyllo dough), 2 Spanakopita (spinach and feta filled phyllo dough), 4 Kalamata olives, some feta cheese, and pita triangles. This may sound like a lot of food for $20, but it is barely enough for two to share. It wasn’t phenomenal enough to warrant the price.
One thing: It turns into a club-like atmosphere complete with belly dancing.
